Welcome
Thank you for visiting our site! If you want to cast farther, if you want to form tighter loops, The Oakland Casting Club can help you.
The Oakland Casting Club also organizes fly fishing trips. With your newfound casting skills, a balanced rod, reel, and line, combined with the knowledge from our Fish Masters, we will help you to catch fish and to create memories that you will recall fondly for the rest of your life.
Most importantly, you will meet other people who also enjoy fly casting and fly fishing. This common passion is the foundation of lifelong friendships that are continually being formed and strengthened amongst our members of The Oakland Casting Club.

Our Casting Pools
The Oakland Casting Club pools are nestled in the foothills at Carson St and Elinora Ave, adjacent to Warren Fwy 13. These world-class facilities which we steward for Oakland Parks and Recreation and the public, are open every day from sunrise to sunset. All are welcome to use the casting pools for practice. You will often find OCC members casting on both weekdays and weekends, so please stop by to learn more about our club activities and introduce yourself!
