Eagle Canyon Trophy Trout Lakes

On February 4, The Oakland Casting Club had a fish outing to Eagle Canyon Trophy Trout Lakes. This was Tim Howe's first trip as our new Outings Director, and it was a fantastic trip! Thank you, Tim!

We would also like to thank Mitch (MPFF), Ivan (DVFF) and Brandon for helping to make the trip even more enjoyable. Mitch's generosity in sharing his knowledge and flies (Andy needed three bunny leeches) helped turn around fishing for some of us in the afternoon. We are sooo glad that we were able to offer this fish outing to people outside of the club. Thank you for joining us!

We would also like to acknowledge the help, hospitality and expertise of our hosts (including Andrew Harris from Confluence Outfitters and our guide, Andreas Fuhrmann). We can't wait to go back next year!

For the future, this trip would be great for members who can not walk very much, or members who would like clean facilities with running water.
